Introduction to climate and disaster risk management and financing

This e-learning material is the first of a series of three modules. It offers insights into climate and disaster risk management and the role of finance and insurance solutions for government, businesses, and individuals. It also raises awareness of Global Shield, a non-profit initiative that aims to provide and facilitate more and better pre-arranged finance against climate and disaster-related risks for vulnerable people. This material is completed by two other modules: Case studies climate and disaster risk financing solutions (2) and Introduction to Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment and Modelling (3).
