Enabling Real Economy Transitions: Case studies from Asia-Pacific

This is the third case study report published by GFANZ Asia-Pacific Network, with contributions from participating Financial Institutions (FIs): BNP Paribas, Impax Asset Management, ING Bank, L&G Asset Management, OCBC and SMBC. Building on the first and second iteration which featured components of FIs' transition plans and full transition plans respectively, this report showcases how featured institutions are assessing real economy clients’ transitions and plans, in line with their own transition strategy.

It offers a deeper dive into the tools and methodologies, sector specific approaches and innovative products and solutions used to assess and support client transitions. Examples of transactions with hard-to-abate sectors are included — detailing specific targets / criteria for financing, and insights gained — showing real world implementation in action.
